Rooseyolt. and was keenly disappointed dis-appointed not to find thc ex-presldc,nt at home. "l am certainly well pleased with tho way the testimony haa developed at our New York York hearings,", he said "I believe we are getting at the basis ot tho steel situation and enlightening ourselves as well as the public In the meantime We still have some strenuous days ahead of us at the hearings In Washington.
