Show CRUSHED BENEATH 1EEI$0F CAR Whiter Mack, aged .15 years, residing re-siding at 2G5 Lincoln Ave., a switchman switch-man employed by the Southern Pacific Pa-cific railroad, met with a horrible accident last evening about 11:30. No one saw the occurence, but it is presumed that Mack, while in the performance of his duties was in tho act of uncoupling a car, when ho slip-pend slip-pend and fell, the wheels of the car passeJ over his body, crushing his right sido from tho shohlder down to his leg, besides causing many internal in-ternal injuries. His cries attracted attention and he was picked up and hastily removed to the Dee hospital Where Dr. Joyce gave him attention. Ho is not expected to recover. Mack has been' in the employ of the Tallroad company for over two years, and bas always been considered consider-ed a steady, BOber 'and reliable man. fin |
