In Salt Lake county the .raise on horses was only 10 percent. Tho assessment roll -indicates that Salt Lake has about $23,000 lass valuation valu-ation in horses this year than last year, while oWber county assessment shows an increase in the" valuation of horseflesh over last year of $3,330 Assessor Mathews says he cannot account for the 20 percent raise on Weber county horses as against only 10 percent in Salt Lake county, unless un-less the board of equalization intends to penalize Weber county for saving, through the Standard, that he burden of taxation In tho county was about sujfflclent, and, also that the raise, perhaps, was not altogether necessary. neces-sary.
