This waB announced an-nounced today at the White House by Senator Smoot, a member of the committee com-mittee on committees, who said also that Senator Clapp would get tho chairmanship of tho committee on Interstate In-terstate commerco to which he Is entitled en-titled under the seniority rule. The selection of Mr. Bourne means that Senator Crane will retain the chairmanship of the committee on rules as ho Is the ranking membor of the postofflce committee.
