As the result of tho robbery of an occupant occu-pant of a Pullman car on an eastbound Northwestern passenger train today, a man, who the train ofllclals say had been stealing a ride on top of the train, lies In a hospital here with a serious bullet wound In his side He gies his name as William Morris and said his home is In Plainfield, N J The bullet wound In said to have been inflicted by a tra.n brakeman When the train was botwoen Tama and Belle Plalue. W. J. Phillips of Keone, N. H., discovered that he had been robbed of a dinipond pin and a Panama hat, He. called the train officials to his assistance assist-ance nnd pointed out Morris as the man who had robbed blm, while the latter was trying to oscape. In the struggle, which followed Morris was shot Phillips rocovored his hat and pin.
