Show CELEBRATION AT HOOPER JULY 24 i Preparations arc b'ng made for nnothor r-hnrnf.torlstiR cnlobratlon of Pioneer day at Hooper, July 24. The 'cornmjtteo, headed by John F. Stoddard, Stod-dard, lias planned many interesting features covering the entire day. The" band will parade the lawn at sunrise and give a concert at 8 a. m. At 10 a. m a program will ibo given at the grove, Samuel G- Dye being the orator of the day. Considerable Interest Is being- manifested man-ifested In a tug-of-war to take place In the afternoon between KanesvIHe and Hooper. Many athletic contests have takon place among individuals of the two towns, and this tryout between be-tween ten men from each place la naturally an Interesting feature. The race track is boing put in good shape and a number of good horses ahvo been entered. Among the foot racers, the 100-yard dash between Anderson of West We-ber, We-ber, Peterson of Kanesvtlle and Moore of Hooper is looked forward to with anxiety on the part of the contestants. |
