At tho luncheon nothing but home products will bo served. The place for the reception re-ception has not yet been designated Mrs. Olive Havens, president of the Salt Lake bianch of the Utah Homo Industrial In-dustrial association Is promoting the Ogdon reception and Is being assisted by a committee of local women. Early in the week Invitations will probably be bent In addition to which the general gen-eral public Is cordially invited to attend at-tend the reception. "The work of tho league," said Mrs. Havens, In explaining the object of the association, "Is purely voluntary It Is an organization without a treasurer, which means that there will be no dues or other oxpenses attached to the organization. Members will pledge themselves .to buy Utah-made products prod-ucts exclusively, where they can consistently con-sistently do so with price and quality equal, and to advocate the same practice among as many others, not members of the association as possible. possi-ble. The association is not an auxiliary of the Manufacturers' association, exactly. ex-actly. There is sufficient reason for that organization to work In conjunction conjunc-tion with the industrial association, and for that reason the reception Is to be made public and tho manufacturers manufactur-ers will probably bo asked to furnish the refreshments." Alter the reception next Saturday It Is very' piobable that a branch of the Btate organisation will be formed in this city. Ofl |
