Show CARUSO JOINS RANKS OF "CASH CURSED." Enrico Caruso has ioined the ranks of the "cash cursed" New Yorkers, the cost of whose hotel residences is a constant source o& amazement to the near-rich. The golden voiced tenor is now established estab-lished in an eleven-room suite in the Knickerbocker hotel in New York city costing him $20,000 for the year. John W. Gates spends $40,000 a year for his suite of sixteen rooms at the Plaza. Princess Lwoff-Parlaghy, at the same hotel, pays $30,000. Ex-Judge Gary has part of a floor at the Waldorf-Astoria at about $20,000, while Mrs. Geo. A. Hearn, widow of a merchant, pays $30,000 at the Plaza. |
