Show Program for Commencement Week Listed; Candlelight Parade Wednesday The commencement week pro-i pro-i gram at Utah State Agricultural college, which will feature the commencement address June 3 by Brigadier General Frank T. Hines, director of the U. S. Veterans Bureau, Bu-reau, was announced Thursday by ' Dr. E. G. Peteson, college president. presi-dent. Final examinations will begin next Monday for all students. The traditional candlelight ceremony on Wednesday, will open officially the commencement week events, according to Josephine Foulger, Ogden, class vice president in charge. The 150 seniors will meet in front of the main building at 7 t p. m. and carrying lighted tapers, they will tour the campus. Brief ceremonies will be conducted at each department building. The commencement exercises will be conducted Saturday, June 3 at 10 a. m. in the college auditorium. au-ditorium. K. Joy Nelson Hulme, Salt Lake City, will deliver the valedictory address and diplomas will be presented by President Peterson. Saturday between 3:30 and 5:30 p. m. a reception at the President's Presi-dent's home will honor graduates, their parents, alumni of the college col-lege and faculty members. -f Baccalaureate rites will be con ducted June 4 at 10 a. m. in the auditorium, with George Albert Al-bert Smith, president of the LDS council of Twelve, scheduled to deliver the baccalaureate sermon. The college orchestra, under the direction of Professor N. W. Christiansen, will present preliminary prelim-inary music for all services. |
