Show AIR COUPS ENDS TRAINING AT USAC Last Group of Trainees Complete Program Conclusion of the army air forces college training program at Utah State Agricultural college, (3092nd A A F Base unit, college col-lege training aircrew), was announced an-nounced today by Major Wallace M. Diehl, unit commandant. "With the graduation of the last class of aviation students, the program at this school is being terminated," Major Diehl said. "The first class of students arrived in March, 1943, and seventeen classes have graduated from the unit since that time." Courses in physics, mathematics, geography, history, English and extensive physical training were presented by the college faculty members during the past 14 months. Military training and general supervision of the program pro-gram has been conducted by army air forces, officers -and enlisted en-listed metn. The trainees also received a minimum of 10 hours flying time at the Logan-Cache airport, with the instruction offered by the Cache Valley flying service. The aviation students were housed in the women's residence hall at the college and in various campus buildings, and Teceived meals at the supplementary cafeterias cafe-terias constructed to accommodate the students. The college phase of the program was under the direction direc-tion of Milton R. Merrill, professor of political science. It is expected that members of the permanent staff will be transferred trans-ferred to new stations in the near future.
