Show New Hours for Power Offices Effective June 1, 1944, the Utah Power & Light company office of-fice in Logan, Smithfield, Richmond Rich-mond and Preston, Idaho will open at 8 a. m. and close at 5 p. m. Monday through Saturday according the District Manager R. R. Rowell. "Earlier opening and closing of the office will permit employes to take advantage of longer evenings ev-enings for work in Victory gardens gar-dens to and participate in other community and war activities while daylight saving is in effect," ef-fect," Mr. Rowell said, adding that the new hours are the result of a joint agreement between the company and the Electrical Workers' Work-ers' union. The new hours will affect only the offices. Emergency service calls will be handled as heretofore. hereto-fore. The Smithfield office has been ! opening at 8:30 a. m. and eloping ! at 5:30 p. m. Monday through Saturday, he said. j |
