Show A Painful Accident On Wednesday a numher of youngsters were playing in an old house near the river when a sad mishap befell their number. They were amusing themselves them-selves by jumping from a window of the cabin onto a pile of sand which had been there for some time. ' One of their number, a son of E; C. Christenson, took his turn at the window and jumped, as he struck the sand with his feet, the calf of ais right leg came in contact with a broken window pane, which stuck up edge-wise in the sand. A deep forked gash 9 inches long was made in his leg, Don SIofF.tt who happened to be near by with a team ran to the boy's assistance assist-ance and hastily brought him up home and sent for Drs. Hostord The wound was a very painful one and in dressing it the doctor was compeled to wash it several times to get the glass and sand out of it. The young fellow is getting along nicely and no further trouble is expected to arise from the accident. |
