Resolutions Reso-lutions were passed and a committee appointed to recommend that changes chang-es be made in the term of office of county treasurers so that their term of office should expire March 31st instead of December 31. which will enable them to complete the business of their term without the chaos and contusion tnat results under the pres ent law. They were also unanimous in proposing pro-posing a change in the law providing that the terms of assessors and treasurers treas-urers and county auditors bei four years instead of two. Under the present pres-ent lay they do not have sufficient time to become familiar with the many intricate problems connected with their office before their term expires. ex-pires. A change in the law providing for the apportionment of tax sale redemptions redem-ptions also was recommended which will save many hundreds of dollars to the counties in this regard, it is claimed'. . |
