Show OLD TIMER'S CLUB ELECT Officers of the Old Timers Organization Organi-zation of the Los Angeles unit of tha Union Pacific railroad who were elected Saturday night in the Elks club rooms at Salt Lake City are: President James Yates, Engneer; Vce-president, -.Ed Markssheffled; Conductor, Secretary and Treasurer, Lawrence Courtney; Chief Clerk of the superintendent. The board of governors are Engineer Rossitter; Conductor, L. B. Moore; Whiter, Clerk of the division engineer's office. Agent Ingram of Garfield, Round House Foreman; Wood of Provo and W. F. Cottrell, Car Foreman of Milford; Mil-ford; Conductor Adams acted as temporary chairman and opened the meeting. There were about one hundred members present. These officers shall be elected annually. The social meetings meet-ings at the call of the official board at the luncheon. At the close of the business meeting superintendent W. H. Smith of the Salt Lake division gave a very nice talk. Pis subject was the faithful services of the Old Timers in building the L. A. Unit from practically nothing to what it is at the present" and he said he was glad to be counted as one of the Old Timers. Talks were gven by several others who expressed their pleasure at being be-ing there. The affair was a very happy occasion oc-casion and after the luncheon those who wished went up stairs to the big ball room annd danced. Harry Yaeger, switchman is going braking, having traded rights with brakeman Bert Stevenson, who goes in the Milford yards. |
