Show TRAINING EX-SERVICE MEN Almost 400 men who were wounded wound-ed or otherwise disabled in the Great War, are being rehabilitated at the University of Utah by the United States Government. These men are receiving their tuition fees and all their books and supplies besides being be-ing paid at the rate of $100 to 175 per month for personal maintenance by the Government. Most of t'lese men are from various vari-ous towns of Utah, while about twenty-seven of them represent other states of the Union. Special courses are being given to 238 of the former service men at the University while the remainder are enrolled in the regular college courses. cour-ses. Special training is given in applied ap-plied electricity, auto and machine mechanics, plumbing, commercial art, architectural and mechanical drafting, bookkeeping and account-., ing. The Government hs spent $15,000 for machinery alone at toe University Universi-ty for the use of former service men and still more machinery is needed. |
