Show UTAH SHOULD RECEIVE RE-CEIVE $100,000 Washington, D. C, Nov 19 "The signing by the president of the Federal Fed-eral Highway act, appropriating $15-000,000 $15-000,000 for forest roads and trails, marks an important step toward the development of the great resources of our National Forests," states Col. W. B. Greeley, chief of the Forest service, United S.ates Department of Agriculture. "The bill provides $5,-000,000 $5,-000,000 for immediate expenditure, and makes an additional $10,000,-000 $10,000,-000 available on July 1, 1922. This money will be used in extending the present inadequate road and trail system of the National Forests, the development of which is so vital to the effective protection and utilization utiliza-tion of their valuable natural resources." resour-ces." This distribution dis-tribution by states has been made by Secretary of Agriculture, and out of the $2,500,000 now available, Utah will receive $100,000. |
