Show A fire alarm was turned in at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and the fire company responded quickly to tho call which came from the residence resi-dence of Geo. Fernley, whose wood pile was burning up. Quick action by the firemen and neighbors soon had it under control and nothing serious resulted. Miss Betty Pitchftorth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pitchforth, was operated on at the Holy Cross 'hospital Thursday morning, for an abcess at the base of the brain. Word was received by relatives that she had gone through the operation which was a very critical one nnd is do;ng very nicely. H'-r mother" and ; father were both with her, also her 'grandmother, Mrs. Jack Smithson. |
