Show FLYING SQUADRON BANQUET Every table at the Hotel Atkin was again fully surrounded with delighted de-lighted patrons last Tuesday evening, even-ing, for the Flying Squardron banquet. ban-quet. The Atkin again demonstrated demonstrat-ed its ability to serve Milford's citizens citi-zens In real high class style. The three speakers from Salt Lake City, spoke on real live subjects to an appreciative audience. Rev. E. E. Mork, a pioneer mission ary of the state, spoke on the early work of the Christian church, their schools. Rev. John J. Lace, D D. state sn-perintendent sn-perintendent of Methodist work In Utah , spoke In an Interesting and enthusiastic manner on the church shaping Its program to serve the public pub-lic in a real and practical way. Rev. Stanley A. Curtis, D.D. pastor pas-tor First M. E. church. Salt Lake City, gave one of, if not the most brilliant and interesting addresses ever listened to by Milfordites. His subject was: "The Big Little World" He made us feel very definitely, our relation to the world at large and all about us. The local pastor acted as toast-master toast-master with a few moss-covered and a few new ones. We have no prospects of these3 great speakers returning, but they will be welcomed anytime in the future. fu-ture. a |
