Show LOCALS and PERSONALS A. G. Horton has resigned his position at the shops and has accepted accept-ed a position with the steel construction construc-tion company o Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Stonehocker have gone to Salt Lake where they will purchase a new Nash car. Archie Howells returned to Los Angeles Tuesdday after a weeks visit in our city. Mr. Christensen has been appointed appoint-ed traveling engineer. He is taking Jack Kelly's place. y Mrs. T. C. Heaton was certainly a wonderful help with her artistic music, mu-sic, which she rendered at the vaudeville vaude-ville and fashion show. Her ability was recognized by the audience, and the P. B. W. club certainly extends their gratitude. W. Lee Hall and F. M. Hall of Manti, were here yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Neilson of Ogden Og-den are in our city today. Rava Woodruff and Mrs. McBride of Ogden were in Milford yesterday. yester-day. Mrs. Heber Wood of Minersville spent Tuesday in Milford. E. A. Reed and P. D. Watson two business men of Salt Lake and Ogden Og-den were here this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Kelly, arrived from Chicago Wednesday and left for Los Angeles the following day. C. O. Hardy of the Ford Motor Co., is with us. Roy Cowan and Fred Kennedy of Nephi and Ogden were calling on our merchants Wednesday. A. Stellar is here from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dearden were here last evening on their return from the funeral of Mrs. T. D. Dearden Dear-den at Fillmore. Judge Thomas H. Burton was with us Monday. Mrs. Sarah Campbell of Chicago, mother of T. Campbell and I. Campbell, Camp-bell, is visiting with thlm here in Milford. Al Cline has a band of workmen at work remo'deling his store. He is having steps bulit up into the upstairs up-stairs part and will fix it up for the ladies ready to wear department ' only. When the work is completed, Mr. Cline will have one of the best and most up to date stores in the state. The Ladies Aid wiTl meet at the Methodist church, September 30, to formulate their plans for the bazaar and dinner to be held on election day. L. H. Balte and S. C. Gardner, Salt Lake business men were here this week. The Service Star Legion will put on a forget-me-not drive for D. A. V., this week. J. C. Barlow and I. I. McKay two prominent Salt Lakers were here Tuesday. D. R. Robinson and E. R. Robinson, Robin-son, the sheep kings of Paragoonah were here this week. Among the people visiting in Milford Mil-ford from Salt Luke this week were: C. Parsons, Roy Sutton, F. Proctor, C. Hatch, E. J. James and Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Langster. A. f: Farrell of Cedar City was here for several days this week. W. D. Kelsey was here from Pio-che, Pio-che, Nevada, Wednesday. Mrs. George Hayes of Clyde, Kansas, Kan-sas, was here visiting her bother, D. R. Roper. She left Wednesday morning for her home and wa.s accompanied ac-companied as far as Denver by Miss Mary Roper. Mr. Hayes will meet them there and accompany Mrs. Hayes the rest of the way to Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cottrel left for Salt Lake City Wednesday night. When in the city Mr. Cotterel will attend at-tend the safety first meeting as the representative of the car department of Milford. Mrs. G. R. Wilcox left Monday night for Memphis, Tenn. She expects ex-pects to be gone about a month. She has gone back to see about selling their home as they have decided to settle permently in the west. Sho will also visit old friends and relatives rela-tives while in Tennessee. C. W. Pearl of the Richfield Reaper, Reap-er, was here Thursday to meet his mother, Mrs. M. W. Pearl, whp will visit this winter with her son. L. T. Brockbank of Salt Lake City was here last Friday looking over mining and real estate interests with a view of investing. |
