Show TINY AIRPLANE LANDS HERE Saturday evening V. B. Kinner of Glendale, California, enroute to New York, in the smallest airship which has ever taken the long air journey across the continent, landed here at the Milford field and spent the night. He had lost his way in crossing the Mormon range and they landed first at Cedar City and then came to Milford. Mil-ford. The weight of the machine was only 850 pounds, and he had with him a companion, Harris Roake of Bur-bank, Bur-bank, Calif. His machine has a wing spread of only twenty-eight and one-half one-half feet, but a cruising speed of 110 miles per hour is claimed for it. They left here Sunday morning for Salt Lake City and expected to resume their eastward journey Monday morning. |
