Show PLEDGE IS MADE AND MUST BE KEPT The November statement of sales for War Savings Stamps for - Utah shows that Beaver County has been credited with cash sales of W. S. S. to the amount of $44,077. The apportionment ap-portionment for the county Is $110,460 and this leaves a balance of 66,383 that must be sold before January 1st, 1919 If we want to keep our record clear in everything that has been asked of us to help win the war. Pledges for this amount and more have been given, and it is now up to those who have made the pledges, to make good and not go back on Uncle Sam, and the boya "over there" who are putting up so gior-ious gior-ious a fight and helping to win the victory. They "are dong their duty, and are fulfilling their promises, and it would be a disgrace for Beaver Bea-ver county to have the world know that it had not done is share in pro viding the meaps for th'i boys especially es-pecially in buying W. S. S. which cost so little, and in an amount frar. every man woman and child in the county can help. The proportion is- but $20.00--more if you can or as much as you can. In 1923 you will get the money mon-ey back, and interest besides. It is simply loaning a few dollars until Uncle Sam can get it back to you The News does not want it said that Beaver county has fallen he-hind he-hind in any one thing that has been asked of it during the war, least ot all in buying W. S. S. to the full allotment, al-lotment, and then some. It is not the kind of news we care to print. So make it possible by keeping your W. S. S. pledge for us to print the news that the amount asked for has been paid, all pledges redeemed, and there is nothing to be ashamed of. w. s s |
