Show BEAVER BOYS GETSWEATERS (irade Academy Avenue Juniors Win "Pirates of Penzance." The Juniors came off victorious in the inter-class debating series and as a result won the pennant presented pre-sented by the Junto Club. The movement which is on foot to grade Academy Avenue is assuming assum-ing a definite shape. A number of Murdock boys spent last Saturday in building a gravel pit and work will be pushed forward as rapidly as possible. One important item which was omitted from the correspondence of last week was the arrival of a young principal at the Gardner home. No wonder the older principal has been so jolly this week. A letter and sweater will be awarded by the student body to the boys who have represented the school In basket ball this winter. Those who have earned a letter are Baker, Rogers, Woolsey, Snow, Hes-lington Hes-lington and Stevens. The choir is working day and night pn the opera "PIrate3 of Penzance" Pen-zance" which is to be produced in Beaver twice, In St. George, Cedar, Parowan, Minersville and Milford. Dixie's basket ball team and coach visited us last Wednesday morning in Devotional exercises. The coach Mr. Gurley spoke a few words of greeting. We enjoyed the visit and invite St. George to come againt The most important game of basket bas-ket ball we have- seen this season was played between Dixie and Cedar. The B. A. C. won the game by two points. We believe that Southern Utah will be well represented in the state tournament and our best wishes wish-es go out to the school that she may bring the honors back to this part of Utah. The Freshmen are some "basket-eers". "basket-eers". The way things look at pres- ent the Freshies are going to walk away with the championship of the inter-class series.
