Show $15,000 FOR MILFORD AUTOS Estimated That Five Thousand Cars Will l$e Sold In The State Before August There have been over $15,000 worth of automobiles sold in Milford in the past three weeks. Two cars of Fords, two cars of Maxwells, one car of Studebakers and a car of Jeffrey Jef-frey sixes have been unloaded and the actual sales of the four makes thus far made total more than fifteen fif-teen thousand dollars. That is pretty pret-ty good for the automobile business of a small town during hard times, you think? A Salt Lake paper says regarding the sale of Fords in this state: "The magnitude of the business being done in the sale of Ford cars in this city and state is indicated by a statement just made by J. A. Han-din, Han-din, manager of the branch here, which has in charge the distribution of cars for the entire state. " 'There will be 1200 machines sold in Salt Lake alone this year the fiscal year ending August 1 and it is anticipated there will be 5000 put out altogether in the state,' he said. "At the present time, according to the branch manager, there is such a heavy demand for cars that the branch is handling signed orders only to its various agencies. In ordinary or-dinary times the dealers are given stocks of cars from which to sell. But now they must produce a signed order before getting delivery from the branch establishment, and even then must wait their turn. Outside of Salt Lake the ratio of Fords gold in the various towns runs in proportion to the size of the place, Ogden, Provo and Logan being second, sec-ond, third and fourth, respectively." Beaver County Agent Neilson and Milford Agent Levi have disposed of two carloads in ten days. |
