Show LEONORA RETORTED IN" IMPROVED CONDITION A. C. Nebeker, superintendent of the Leonora Mining company, is in Salt Lake on business. He reports conditions at the mine much improved. im-proved. A winze has been sent down on the ore showing a distance of twelve feet in the east drift, where some very fine ore was struck some few weeks ago, he says. The ore is a bedded deposit and seems to improve with depth. This work will be stopped stop-ped temporarily for a few days while the drift is sent east following the east-west fissure to a point twenty-five twenty-five feet ahead, where the survey shows a north-south fissure should appear. "At this point a considerable consider-able body of ore should be found as every indication points to an ore body ahead," he declared. At a point 350 feet to the west another an-other winze has been sunk in the past two weeks. This winze is now showing show-ing about three inches of galena with several feet of highly mineralized gang. Mr. Nebeker is highly pleased with this showing and predicts success suc-cess for the Leonora. |
