Show 1 HIGH SCHOOL ASSEMBLY Last Tuesday the faculty of the High School gave the entertainment in assembly, and extremely interesting interest-ing it proved to be. Mr. Bates acted as chairman, and first announced Mr. . Porter for a piano selection. This number was roundly applauded and . finally he consented to render another number. Mr. Sneddon next very ab-j ab-j ly and to the amusement of all read J in Scotch dialect ''To a Louse" by j Root. Burns. Following that, Miss J Worley sang two songs and the con-j con-j tinned applause testified to her success. suc-cess. Mrs. Benson appropriately gave a few remarks on the subject of etiquette, eti-quette, after which Miss Russell read two selections, one in Irish and one in French-Canadian dialect. Both numbers proved lo be very popular. |
