Show RESOLUTIONS . The following resolutions were unanimously un-animously adopted by the Utah State Press association and ordered sent to the cities of Price, Hiawatha and Cas tie Gate: Whereas, The Utah State Press as-j as-j sociation has been privileged to visit the cities of Price, Castle Gate and Hiawatha and other points of interest in Carbon county, and Whereas, The citizens of Price, Cas tie Gate and Hiawatha, the officials of the United States Fuel company, the officials of the Utah Fuel company com-pany and George T. Odell, former chairman of the Utah war savings stamp organization have most royally entertained the members of the Utah State Press association and feasted us on the best of the land; therefore, be it Resolved, That we extend to the citizens of Price, Hiawatha, Castle Gate, the officials of the coal companies com-panies and George T. Odell, our most sincere and hearty thanks for the royal reception tendered to us and the splendid entertainment we have received during our brief stay in Carbon county; and be it further Resolved, That we, the members of the Utah State Press association, give widespread publicity to the wealth of resources to be found in Carbon county to the end that the people of Utah shall become acquainted acquain-ted with the resources of the state and especially our great coal fields which have become one of the greatest great-est factors in the development of Utah's great industries, ,and that the people might know and appreciate appreci-ate the splendid work which is being accomplished in Price, "The Biggest Little City on Earth," and her sister sis-ter cities and by the public spirited citizens who are Americanizing those of foreign birth and making of them real Americans. We hereby acknowledge a debt of gratitude to all those who were responsible re-sponsible in any way for the splendid success of our visit to Carbon coun- The following resolution was un-animouslv un-animouslv na.fiserl hv the mpmhpr nf the Utah State Press association: Whereas, That great American, Theodore Roosevelt, has passed to the great beyond; and, Whereas, The American people are preparing to erect to that great spirit spir-it who so nobly represented the true spirit of America and American manhood, man-hood, a fitting monument; be it Resolved, That the Utah State Press association hereby pledges its full and hearty support to the movement move-ment and that the members do hereby here-by pledge themselves to assist such committees as may have charge of the work in their localities to the end that Utah shall do its full share in this worthy cause. |
