These channels of supply being closed, it has been necessary to appeal to the patriotism of private pri-vate owners for "eyes for the navy." All articles should be tagged with name and address of the donor and sent to Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt. Assistant Secretary of the Navy, rare of Naval Observatory, Washington. D. C. Those not suitable will be returned re-turned to senders. Careful records will be kept of accepted glasses so they may, if possible, be returned r,i the termination of the war. |
