Show o LOCAL NEWS (Continued from page 1) The Gold Crown, South Star Mining District, got out its first car of ore this week. Messrs. M. J. Westerfield and 1,. J. DeJarald of Riverside, California, arrivod in Milford today, for a brief husinesi visit. Mr. Westerfield is one of the owners of the Beaver County NEWS and is here to help the installation instal-lation of the new plant and to look over the field, as a whole. Jay McAllister, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McAllister of this city, has returned re-turned from Montana, after spending the summer with his grandparents. II. E. Adams of Malone, an ardent "booster" for good roads between his town and Milford, was in Milfcrd, Thursday. Mr. Adams has spent considerable con-siderable time and private money hslping along the movement for good roads in this section of the county, and, along with the other live wires of Reed and Malone, deserves credit for his efforts in this direction. Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Bushnell gave a farewell party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Orsen Taylor and family, who have since left for their home in the Dixie country. The evening was spent very pleasantly in social enjoyment. The Taylor family fam-ily will take up their residence on their homestead in Washington county. |
