Show 1 WORK ON RAILROAD TO BE RESUMED. j Fillmore, May 14. The state- ' ment is made by Geo. W. Craig of ! Provo that the obstacle in the way , of starting the buildjng of the new ! railroad In east Millard has been removed. re-moved. It seems that the eastern capitalists who had the matter of financing of the building of the road under consideration preferred to wait for a report on what is known as the Desert Mountain Extension, being that part of the new road which , will run out to the mines in the Drum ', mining district, before deciding def-' def-' initely on the final details involved, i They received this report from Mr. I Craig some time ago, and after fully considering the same have decided to go ahead with the building of the ne wroad, that is, if the people do their part according to contract. Two or three different lines of survey have been run and it is the intention of Mr. Craig and associates to come down here the first part of next week and either accept one of the lines already run, or do an entirely entire-ly new survey. At any rate, the building of the road will be started ', very shortly, is the good word received re-ceived from Mr. Craig. Deseret News. |
