Show UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT D. A. Webster, who has been recently re-cently appointed postmaster here, has retired from the management of the News after a service of a year and a half. It is with regret that we lose his energy and experience. His place has been taken by Karl S. Carlton of the Beaver County Weekly Press, who now becomes the manager man-ager of both papers. Mr. Carlton purchased a half interest in the News over two years ago and has been one of the principal owners ever since that time. Mr. Webster has made many firm friends for both himself and the paper who will regret re-gret the necessity of his severing his active connection with its affairs. The new management will endeavor to carry out the policy already established, es-tablished, and takes this opportunity opportun-ity of thanking its many patrons for its co-operation in the past in making mak-ing this the success it has, and hopes for their continued assistance. |
