Show SUIT AGAINST CREOLE COPPER Suit was very recently filed in the district court of Salt Lake county by N. H. Jensen, receiver of the Creole Mining company, as plaintiff, against Creole Copper company (the present operating Creole company) Isabel Denny, Underwriters Trust company,, H. S. Wooley, and J. M. Reynolds, all as defendants. The complaint has been filed on behalf of the stockholders and creditors cred-itors of the old Creole company to recover the property now held by the Creole Copper company, and for the sum of twenty-two thousand dollars as damages. The complaint alleges that while the old Creole company was operating, operat-ing, and while their bond and lease was in force and effect, J. M. Reynolds, Rey-nolds, for a consideration of two thousand dollars to himself, as well as stock in the new company, conspired con-spired with Mrs. Isabel Denny to cancel the .original bond and lease, and turn the same over to the Creole Cre-ole Copper company; also that the defendants purposely circulated reports re-ports to the effect that the company had lost its holdings and valuable property; the complaint further sets forth that in order to wreck the company, the Underwriters Trust company, without any consideration, considera-tion, received a mortgage for $2 50,-000 50,-000 from the Creole Mining company, com-pany, for the express purpose of concealing the rights and interests of the Creole Mining company. It appears if this suit be carried to a successful conclusion the creditors credit-ors of the old Creole Mining company com-pany will be paid in full. |
