Show Ruminatiri 4 Roundabout ? In which Ruminator proposed to dream a lot, think as little as necessary, scatter a few bouquets bou-quets while their objectives are still above the sod to enjoy them, and fire a hot-shot now and then while said Kumn,t. or can enjoy seeing the spai k fly. Our hut is off to Mrs. Daisy Rowley and the indomitable courage cour-age of this woman who has made the mail run west to the Nevada line on time and with never a word of complaint in the face of weather that would have made 9'J out of a hundred men look for a good excuse to cancel the trip. Especially Saturday, when it must have been 23 below as MrH. Rowley left town in her truHty Ford! Ruminator was an interested observer at sessions of both houses of the state legislature last Monday Mon-day afternoon. Most of the activities were devoted to organization organi-zation but with a bit of time out for witticisms of Senators Huggins and Ilolbrook (Weber and Davis counties), who made Warwick C. Lamoieaux, baby member of the senate, the object of their remarks and were in turn picked up by President Herbert Maw. fie is personable appearing and seems to have complete command of the duties of presiding officer. Here's hoping Mr. Maw, supposedly speaking for the ultra-progressive bloc within the present legislature, means what he says when he states that the best interests of the state will be kept constantly in mind and that Utah and her people have nothing to fear in the way of radical legislation. The ultra modern automobile sheik runs over chickens in the country and picks 'em up in the city. o |
