Show Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Pool and daughter Sarah were week-end visitors in Salt Lake. Mrs. Scott Tanner returned Sunday from a weeks visit in California, and enjoying the fair in San Diego. Victor A. Surface, who has been an employee at the Desert Range Experiment station, left Tuesday for his home in Logan. Myles Davis has returned home from Long Beach, California, where he visited with his sister the past two months. Mrs. L. J. Farnon and two children chil-dren returned home Tuesday from Salt Lake, where they visited relatives the past week. Mrs. George Ranson and children chil-dren left Tuesday for their home in Salt Lake City, after a few days visit with Mr. Ranson and friends. Mrs. Warby of Beaver is recovering recov-ering nicely at the Milford hospital hospi-tal from an operation performed ten days ago for gangrenous appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Goats of Salt Lake were guests at the Fred Levi home for a few days last week on their return from a trip to southern California. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tomsick of Los Vegas arrived Sunday to visit the formers brother Robert and family, and also friends. Harold left here with his parents about 1 iva years ago. Extensive remodeling of the building occupied by the Hubbell drug store began this week at the direction of the Smith-Faus people peo-ple of Salt Lake, owners of the building. James W. Waite of Salt Lake having been engaged to put on a new roof. Henry White is up from Las Vegas to visit his mother, Mrs. Tinder, and family. Mrs. J. J. Keough and daughter Madeleine spent the first of the week in Salt Lake City. Henry Beard of Providence is visiting with' his niece, Mrs. A. F. McCulley, and family, and also with other local relatives. Mrs. Vein Rochek and son accompanied Mrs. Tom Campbell to Salt Lake this week and will visit there with her for a week or so. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Reynolds are moving to Salt Lake soon, Mr. Reynolds having been assigned a run from Salt Lake to Milford in passenger engine service. ' Mrs. Stella Ashby arriver Monday, Mon-day, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Hollis, who has been visiting Mrs. Ashby at her home in Salt Lake City, where she now resides. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Tanner and children of Price are visiting at the home of Mrs. Tanner's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Levi. This is their first visit with home folks in some five years. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre and two young sons returned on Tuesday from a vacation trip to ' California. Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Schow took care of the Atkin hotel in their absence. All ex-service men are requested request-ed to be in attendance at the military mili-tary funeral to be conducted Sunday Sun-day afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for Jesse P. Worthen having hav-ing performed the operation. Mrs. and Mrs. Otto Steenbock left Tuesday by iautomobi!c4 for an extended vacation trip, intending intend-ing to make their way first to Vancouver, Washington,' for a visit with relatives preliminary to a sojourn down the coast. The News is printing an order of large handbills for a two-day racing meet at Minersville July 24 and 25, with a big dance to be given at Hanging Rock the night of July 23 and an all-night dance at the same place the night of July 24. |
