Show FIRMAGE THEATRE Friay and Saturday "Transient Lady," the famous Octavus Roy Cohen story which ran serially in Liberty magazine, is coming to the Firmage theatre on Friday and Saturday. Starting with a great author and a gr-eat story, Universal pictures decided to complete the greatness of this production with a cast that is unequalled. un-equalled. Gene Raymond, Henry Hull, Frances Drake and June Clayworth are seen, in the featured featur-ed roles. And what a performance they give! The story of this picture pic-ture is laid in a sleepy, little Alabama Ala-bama town, A wandering trio of promoters, Miss Drake, Edward Ellis and Clark Williams, arrive in town for the purpose of setting-up setting-up a temporary roller skating rink. They run afoul of a gang of crooked relatives of a crooked politician and a murder results. The crooks try to pin the guilt on one of the promoters and then the thrills begin. Saturday only, in connection with the showing of "Transient Lady," Walt Goodie and his Ebony Follies will be the attraction. The act includes ten clever kiddies in the presentation of a fast peppy entertainment of singing, tap-dancing, tap-dancing, acrobatic dancing, music and comedy. Ronald Coleman made this official statement upon completion com-pletion of "Clive of India," his new starring vehicle for 20th Century Pictures, which comes to the Firmage theatre Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, in which he plays the title role. Darryl F. Zanuck's first million-dollar production, pro-duction, the picture is adapted from the smash London stage hit of the same name, by W. P. Lipscomb Lips-comb and R. I. Minney, who were brought to Hollywood to prepare the screen play. The story covers the life of Robert Clive, who by his own audacity rose from a $25 a year clerk in the East India company to become the conqueror of an empire at 26,and became England's Eng-land's greatest hero. Stressing the beautiful romance between Clive and the lovely Margaret Maskylene, to whom he proposes by letter after seeing her picture in her brother's locket, the drama shows how the man's private life influenced his public life, and how his star fell when the woman who loved him had drifted from his side. Loretta Young plays the lovely Margaret, while Colin Clive, Francis Lister, C. Aubrey Smith and Cesar Romero are also prominent among the film's seventy-two principals.
