Show Local Quint Loses i Last League Game j Playing one of the best games of the basketball throughout the ' first half but still lacking the necessary "stuff to go through to 1 victory, Milford high school boys went down to defeat, 40-17, Fri- I day night in the last game of the high school league schedule and 1 the second meeting of the two Beaver county teams. The game was played on tne Milford floor and before the largest larg-est crowd in a good many years, the small gym being taxed to the utmost, even to standing room. The Milford quintet started in with plenty of fire and the first quarter ended with the score 6-5 in their favor. The home fans were made about frantic with this1 showing and the team caught the spirit and held their opponents to a 12-10 lead at the half. But from the beginning of the second period the way to another defeat was clearly chalked out, Milford scoring only five points to Beaver's Bea-ver's 19 in the third quarter while the final period netted the homo team only two points to nine for the visitors, to make the final score 40-17. The rest period between halves of the game was featured by an interesting flash light drill performed per-formed by a group of Beaver girls, their performance meeting with hearty applause.
