I, -KfJt Fifteen years ago. this week i The ladies of the Business and Professional Women's club had entertained members of the troup of the Utah Productions, who were engaged in filming the picture, "The Urge Within", near Beaver. The entertainment was an ;. informal in-formal dinner party. The lady guests were Mildred Harris, Miss Shelby, Miss Walsh and Virginia Lee and the men included Henry Otto, Ralph Cloninger, Mr. Cleveland Cleve-land and Mr. Beckway, also William Wil-liam Outzen. manager of the local theatre, and Lee C. Brown. The local Lions club was to pre-: sent a program at the Milford high school assembly The speakers speak-ers were to be Karl S. Carlton,1 George Jefferson and Dr. C. R.' Parrish. Three business firms of Milford had been responsible for Milford people being given an opportunity ; ; ; for an'ainplane ride. The stores which were backing Aviation days here were the Milford Pharmacy, the Golden Rule store . and ' the Gordon Jewelry company and each store had a different plan where, by customers could obtain rides at no cost at all to the passengers. . A fine' banquet and social evening eve-ning had been held at the Union Pacific dining tpom, when Milford Lions had as their guests business men from Beaver.'' Among' those from Beaver were John Bowman, Ed Thompson, William Boyle, Dr. Petty, "Dr. 'Hopkins, Warren. Ni'el-son Ni'el-son and several others, in all 12 men. - The idea of organizing ' a Lions club in Beaver was discussed and an application for a charter was signed. Harry Braun, proprietor of Braun's store, had disposed of his stock to R. E. Ellingsworth, who was to reorganize the business. Mr. Ellingsworth came to Milford from Salt Lake City and had had many years of : experience in merchandising. mer-chandising. ! ' ' !
