Show Air Raid Drill Is Set For Aril 23 An official air raid drill will take place Friday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. sharp, according to information in-formation given The News by W. E. Martin, town board president and commander of the Milford Citizens Defense Corps. All citizens are asked to cooperate cooper-ate and follow scrupulously the j instructions- of air raid wardens. All equipment and facilities will be in operation, but the success of the demonstration depends not alone on the defense corps workers work-ers but also on the public at large. No audible signal will be given at the beginning or end of the drill, this being in conformity with new nationwide regulations. The drill is expected to be completed com-pleted by 8 o'clock, and at 8:30 a public meeting will be held in the recreation hall of the L. D. S. church. Major James R. Barker- and Controller Clem S. Schramm, connected con-nected with the regional and state defense corps setup, will be present pres-ent for the drill and also for the public meeting at 8:30, at which they will have an important message mes-sage 'for everybody. |
