Betty Lou Hall, 4, daughter of Infantryman Infantry-man Arthur A. Hall, who was killed in action in Europe, traveled from the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home for Widows and Orphans at Eaton Rapids, Mich., to the White House, where she sold President Truman the first 1946 buddy poppy to inaugurate the annual buddy poppy sale conducted by the VFW for relief work. |
