Show S'IKENT.OCKS ENJOY AtTU E, VARIED WEEK Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Steenbock returned re-turned from Baker, Oregon, on July 12th, after having attended a family reunion with Mrs. Steen-bock's Steen-bock's five sisters and a brother, and their families. Mrs. T C. Gronning, mother of Carlyle Gron-ning, Gron-ning, made the trip with them. She if. Mrs. Steenbock's oldest sister, and resides in Delta. On the day they returned, Henry Steenbock of San Diego, Calif., a brother of Mr. Stenebock, arrived for a 10-day visit. While here they spent three days at Fishlake, and toured the Southern Utah parks. They report that Cedar Breaks and the mountains in that region are most beautiful at this time of year The trip, Mrs. Steenbock said, was "a joy ride ifrom beginning to end." ' On Friday, the Steenbock broth- ers drove thru Beaver Canyon to the Big Flat and Puffer's Lake. After driving around and watching watch-ing the wildlife until a late hour, they fished in the lake until sundown, sun-down, arriving home late in the day with limit catches of uniform-sized uniform-sized fish, 12 to 14 inches long. The fishing was not too good at Fishlake, they report, "but we caught enough to keep from going hungry. ' On Sunday, the Steenbocks entertained en-tertained a group of friends at a trout dinner. Present were Mr. Henry Steenbock, Mrs. C, E. Freer of Lynndyl, Mr. and Mrs. James P. Holm, and the hosts. After dinner, pinochle was enjoyed until a late j hour. On Monday, Mr. Steenbock and J his brother left by car for a tour thru Colorado and to Geneva, Neb., where they will attend a reunion I of -Mr. Steenbock's family Others ! expected to be present include a ! brother, William Steenbock of Los j Angeles, and two sisters who reside ! in Nebraska. Mr. Steenbock, who is enjoying a five-week vacation, i will return by train early in j August. |
