Show LIONS INVITE STATE FIGURE HERE; NAME COMMITTEES Milford's Lions Club met Thursday Thurs-day night at Bud's Cafe, appointed committees, voted in a new member, mem-ber, okehed a Lions-Lady Lions picnic for August 3, and moved to obtain competent information on the benefits and drawbacks of city status. Mr. Winder of the Utah State Department of Publicity and Industrial In-dustrial Development, who has appeared ap-peared in Milford before in behalf of the state ; beautification and town dress-up programs, will be invited in-vited to again address a Milford audience on the city-town proposal. It was felt by the Lions that if a disinterested party could be obtained ob-tained for a frank discussion of the pros and cons of the question, the citizenry would be more apt to arrive at a definite conclusion and be better able to present their desires to Governor Maw when he appears to hear their wishes. The Lions and Lady Lions will gather at Hanging Rock on the evening of August 3, to toast wein-ers, wein-ers, enjoy other good things to eat, dance, and make merry in the first get-together of the two groups since organization of the Lady Lions.
