SCHEDULES DRAWN; TWO DOUBLEHEADERS SLATED EACH WEEK 'TILL FALL First games in the Milford Softball Soft-ball league's 1946 schedule will be played Tuesday, May 21. One 1 IfU-UCl 3. girls' game and a men's game will be played, with the play scheduled to get under way under the lights at .7:30 p. m. Telluride Power Co., Sam's Appliance .fe Furniture, Why-Not Service and Whitbeck Recreation are sponsors of the girls' teams, with high school girls, housewives house-wives and professional women about equally divided among the players. The Railroaders, Milford Volunteer Volun-teer Firemen, Penney's, Sportsmen's Sports-men's Club and Milford News are fielding male teams, with The News sponsoring a team made up exclusively of high school students, The Railroaders being a "self-sponsored" "self-sponsored" team of railroad em-, ployes, the Firemen composed mostly of members of the department, depart-ment, and Penney's and the Sportsmen's Sports-men's Club featuring business men and returned veterans. A team from Minersville will probably be fielded to round out the male competition as a six-team league. Admission will be 10c for children chil-dren and 20c for adults, including all taxes. |
