Show MARDI GRAS FETE AT SCHOOL TONITE The Year Book staf fof the Milford Mil-ford High School will feature a Mardi Gras dance on Friday, May 17, in the schol gymnasium. Costumes Cos-tumes and masks will be the order of the evening. The Melody Makers Mak-ers have been secured to furnish the music, and masks, confetti, noisemakers, balloons and sweet cider will be on sale to help make it a colorful and gala affair. Generous prizes will be given for the best costume, the best jitter-bueging jitter-bueging couple, the best waltzing couple, to the boy and girl who sell the most tickets, and 'for other im-nromotu im-nromotu and surprising features. This dance represents the last and final effort to raise money to finance the yearbook for this year. It is the first yearbook the school has had for five years and, of course, it is a tremendous financial undertaking for a school of this size. Therefore, it is desirable that all adult citizens who now realize the inestimable value of such a book as a valuable and coveted record of their school life, please get behind this undertaking and helo put it over for the kids. The seventh and eighth grades will canvass the town this week with tickets. If you can't come, and you feel disposed to help out with this noteworthy school life undertaking, buy a ticket anyway. The staff has worked diligently on this project and they have a book o be proud of, one which they will treasure more with each passing year, as you adults well know. Costumes are not necessary, but desirous. If you do not care to dance, come and sit in the swings and watch the fun. Admission is $1 for couples, extra ladies 60c. ALAN FJELD, Staff Advisor. |
