Speakers will include Vail Pitt-man, Pitt-man, who will head a delegation from Ely, Nevada; E. E. Baldwin, circulation manager of The Salt Like Tribune-Telegram: WiUiam Alliason, representing the I'tah chapter, American Mining con-cress, con-cress, and S. J. Stephenson, executive execu-tive sn-ietary of the Utah Manufacturers' Manu-facturers' association, wh, will tie hire in behalf of the new "Build Utah'' rrogram. The principal session will convene con-vene in the I. O. E. E. hall at 2 p.m. Saturday. The executive b. ard will meet at ln a.m. t handle routine Im-iness and outline out-line the day's program. Any unfinished un-finished business will be completed complet-ed Sunday momin-r. Included among the ' i-ciis-.o! s is the elimina ion of some L'tah C CC cami'S. Ind.cation.s are the e o camp, which was evrnvted to be (Continued in last page) Civic Clubs Meeting (Continued from first page) moved to Duck creek near Navajo lake to construct dams and otherwise other-wise improve the area for fish propagation, will be abandoned soon. Escalante camp will be moved mov-ed without completing the road between Escalante and Boulder, and three camps moved out of i Snnnete countv. Requests have been made for establishment of new camps by tho division of grazing at Green River and Hanksville, but apparently ap-parently none is available. It is possible, however, the Henrieville grazing camp will be moved to Hanksville or some other place in Wayne county. A camp now located lo-cated at Ferron may be moved to Green River at a later date but it j appears unlikely it will occur this summer. Reports from Washington indicate indi-cate it will be the policy of the CCC administration t reduce the number of forest service camps and increase the number of park service camps but as yet announcement announce-ment of an increase in the latter camps in Utah has not been made. Reclamation and grazing camps will be disturbed little, if any, it is thought. Just what the Associated Civic Clubs can do in this matter is problematical but the subject will be thoroughly discussed. Frank G. Martines, chairman of tho club's aviation committee, will report the progress on the proposed pro-posed Salt I-ake City-Phoenix air mail route and ask that consideration considera-tion bo given to sending a representative repre-sentative to Washington to confer on this and other projects in which tho organization is vitally interested. |
