Show Milford CCC Notes! A number of enrollees that arej not re-enrolled for another term will leave Milford the latter part j of this week. They will meet the troop-train which will originate in Moapa, Nevada, and will be taken to Camp Beauregard, Louisiana. All of the men have enjoyed their stay in Milford and probably will visit this section again some day. Among the 40 men that are leaving, leav-ing, 23 will return to their homes in Mississippi, 15 to Louisiana, one to Arkansas, and one to his new home in California. Ten men of the first aid class of this company have recently completed their course and taken tht final examination. They will be awarded certificates in the near future. Dr. Shannon, tho local physician, was their instructor. Lieutenant Ingram and family visited the Roulder dam last weekend. week-end. Vergil Winchester, company cleTk, accompanied them on the trip. Harry Hair and Mathews Schmidt spent the week-end in Heaver. A numlwr of Mathews' friends gave him a farewell party as ho will soon be returning home. Tho Youth council of the Methodist Metho-dist church in Milford gave a party on St. Patrick's day. All tho members wore green emblems and took part in games and contests. con-tests. After refreshments had been served Irish jokes were presented. pre-sented. Miss lone Sedgwick acted as hostess. Those from camp who were present included Marvin Taylor, Victor Steinfels, Hubert Steed, Edward Silliman, Ersie Finch, Virgil Winchester and Henry Ross. |
