Governor Charles R. Mabey and Congressman Don B. Colton were present and talked to the delefrates- on the campaign issues is-sues of the day. The following were nominated for offices on the Re-tmllican Re-tmllican ticket: Andrew Morris of Heaver for representative, H. C. Eyre of Minersville for 4-year ommissioner, Free Levi of Mil-f Mil-f rd for 2-year commissioner and V. V. Knox of Beaver for county attorney. Kniton as chairman and Abe Murdock as secretary. Judge J. ''lies of Fillmcre, candidate for i i strict attorney and Judge 0. A. Murdock, , candidate for district judge, addressed the convention on the issues of the campaign. Robert White of Beaver was nominated' for representative, Dave Pearce of Adamsville was nominated for 4-year 4-year commissioner and' Joseph C. Smith of Milford was nominated' for 2-year turn of commissioner. Miss Lenora Grimshaw of Beaver Bea-ver and Alton Smith of Milford were united in marriage at the home of the bride Wednesday, October Oc-tober i. The oouple were to make their home in Milford. A ball wtas given by the Cool-idge-Dawes club with the following follow-ing program at the beginning: of the evening: "The Purpose of the Club", E. H. Bird; Spanish dance, Mrs. Taunlin and Myrtle Oslborn; talk, George Jefferson; scarf dance, Dorothy Murdock and Mildred Mil-dred Killam. Mr. and' Mrs. William Baker had announced the arrival of a baby girl, born October 3. Mrs. M. H. Pool had entertained at two tables of bridge. Those present were Mesd'ames Fournier, Joseph R. Murdock, Theissen, Kinney, Kin-ney, George Fernley, Kesler, New-hart, New-hart, Parrish and Markham. The Ptimos and Jolly Stitchers clubs had enjoyed a delightful evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. John MoKeicn. Mrs. George Moore, being the guest of honor, received many beautiful gifts. "500" was played' by those present, Mesdames Carl Levi, Ross Smith, " William Miller, Nelse SchoW, J. Wleston, Wilson Moore, R. Quayle, Al Mc-Keon, Mc-Keon, Fred Levi, A. Johnson, Joe Smith, Leslie Clay, Dave Tanner, Clinton Myers, G. Kirk, James Lang, Charles Ford', and Misses Ardath Jiohnson and LaPrieJl Clement.
