Show S0UTH MILFORD By MRS. CARL ELMER Phone 63-J-l The Community Club met Saturday Satur-day evening at the home of Clair Gillins. A delicious hot dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Kent Smtih, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Fisher, Mr , and Mrs. Ivan McKnight, Mr. ami Mrs. Morgan Griffiths, Mr. and Mrs. Obra Myers, Mr. and Mrs Roldo Turner and Mr. and Mrs Carl Elmer. i The Social Hour club met at the , home of Sade Griffiths on Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. A business meeting meet-ing was held, at which Mrs. Edna Baker was elected president, Han- nah Smith, vice president, and i Cassie McKnight ,secretary-treas-r urer. Mrs. Rouse was made o member. After the business meeting, meet-ing, a delicious lunch was served ' to Cassie McKnight, Gladys Myers, Helen Gillins, LaRue Turner. Edna Baker, Nomia Baker, Hannah Smith, Mrs. Rouse, Mrs. Heslins-ton Heslins-ton and Cree Elmer. The Community club met at the clubhouse Thursday morning to discuss the repairing of the club-1 house. It was decided to repair the roof and inside walls this year and if possible lay a new floor next year, with work scheduled to start on Monday. This will be a great improvement and something that will be enjoyed by all. Thanks to the Wildlife Club for making these repairs possibe. Mr. Hyrum Steffen, county agri-cutural agri-cutural agent, held a meeting at the clubhouse Saturday night, showing pictures on the diseases of cattle. A large crowd was in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Gillins of Beaver were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins. Mrs. Fred Ramsey of Berkeley, Calif., has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Floyd Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Stott made a business trip to Beaver on Wed nesday. Mr. Dan Rollins was called to Pioche, Nev., on account of the death of his brother, Mont Rollins, I who was killed in a mine accident in the Nevada city. Mrs. Edna Baker went to Minersville Min-ersville Wednesday to attend a birthday dinner for her Ki.-i.cr. Mrs. Effie Marshall. |
