Show Auxilary Elects New Set Officers At a meeting preceding an Americanism program and tea given by the American Legion Auxiliary at the L. D. S. church j Friday , June 14, the following officers were elected to serve during dur-ing the coming year: Metta Weston, Wes-ton, president; Naomi Hughes, first vice president; Christie Lyman, Ly-man, second vice president; Nina geant-at-arms; Ethel Smith, his-sen, his-sen, chaplain; Ernia .Cline, ser-geant-at-arms; Ether Smith, historian. his-torian. The secretary will be appointed ap-pointed later. At the tea and- program the women of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary were special guests and Mrs. Lois Wadding-ham Wadding-ham and Mrs. Alice Jane Bowen arranged the program rendered which was as follows: Ladies trio, "The Story of Old Glory", by Metta Weston, Saraessa Baker and Naomi Hughes; talk, "Our Flag", Vera Yepsen; violin solo, Elaine Baker; talk, "Americanism", "American-ism", Ethel Smith; piano solo, Doris Hughes. The tea table was beautifully decorated with blue candles, del-pheniums del-pheniums and gold snapdragons. President Carlie Waddoups and Lois Waddingham poured, with Irma Cline and Saraeesa Baker assisting. M |
