Show Pfc. Weston S. Vernon, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Vernon, was discharged at Fort Douglas on January 15. Mr. Vernon took his basic training at Fort Biiss, Texas, and in Florida. He served for two years overseas in the Milne Bay, New Guinea, Philippines and Northern Luzon areas. Vernon wears three battle stars in his Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon, and also has the American theater ribbon, rib-bon, Philippine Liberation ribbon, unit citation and Victory medal. Martin Sherwood of Mincrsville accompanied a shipment of cattle to Los Angeles last Friday. While in California, he will visit his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ramsey of Bakersfield. Lynn Williams, W T 2c, of Milford, Mil-ford, w'as discharged on January 18 from the Navy personnel separation sep-aration center at Shoemaker, Cal. Jim Sherwood of Minersville has received word from his wife in Reading, England, that she will leave February Z fo:- the United States. First Lieutenant and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Hughes are the proud parents of a baby boy, born January 22 at Tampa, Fla. Lt. Hughes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hughes of Milford. |
