Show GARBAGE PICKUP TO BE REGULAR SAYS HUMAN Regular garbage pickups, after the rather sporadic attention to this detail that was displayed during the recent snowstorms, are promised prom-ised by Town Trustee Ben Hillman. The trucks will cover the entire town on Fridays and Saturdays, Mr. Hillman said, with additional service for the business district on Wednesday of each week. Residents are asked to cooperate with town officials by separating wet garbage from ashes, and placing plac-ing garbage and ashes in boxes, cana or other receptacles which are not too large to be handled by one man. Another assistance asked was the placing of garbage cans or other receptacles on boards, corrugated boxes, or some other suitable material ma-terial to prevent the can from freezing to the ground. If the garbage gar-bage and ashes are frozen together, or the can frozen to the ground, it will be impossible for the men to handle the material, Mr. Hillman said. Residents having compaints concerning con-cerning the service are requested to communicate directly with the Town Board on regular meeting nights. |
