Show Good Showings Made At Cedar Milford made another fine record in the high school day contest events at Cedar City Saturday, taking two places on a highly superior su-perior basis, eleven superior and two excellent in the fifteen musical events contested. Identity of the music section winners and the awards taken in other activities have not been made available to The News and therefore cannot be given this week, reports of the contests appearing in the daily press being too garbled for reproduction. repro-duction. The Branch Agricultural college as the host school and Cedar City a? the host town again did well in caring for the huge throng of visitors though the segregating of towns by themslves for the group musical events was not as satisfactory satis-factory as procedure of past years. A meritorious innovation this year was the furnishing of cold lunches to contestants and visitors instead of the hot lunches which have been served at various central places in the past. The attempt to serve hot lunches led to confusion and placed a huge amount of work on the Cedar City women and girls who undertook the work. o |
